This is a strategic time for our city and nation

Come and meet with the living God in His power and authority at this years Encounter Conference, as we hear life changing words that will inspire, empower and accelerate us to run with God.
Come and wonder at His power and His miracles in the lives that He will touch.

Come and wonder at the way He calls us to be his ambassadors here on earth, that without us the gospel cannot be taken across the World.

He has chosen us to go as a fruitful people and as effective fruit bearers for God’s kingdom.

Will you come on this journey with us?  The road is clear ahead, let’s run!

David Smith is an Evangelist at New Life, Castle Douglas. He studied at Kingdom Faith Bible College, where Jesus filled Him with faith, passion and fire.

I am so looking forward to Encounter Conference 2016. God is moving across the United Kingdom and He is moving now. Week after week I am encountering young people encountering God; and if there’s one thing I continue to learn, its this: The opportunity of a lifetime must be seized in the life time of the opportunity.

I had my own life mapped out for me, until Jesus walked in one day and offered me a different adventure. What I had planned was good, but what He had planned was better. Walking away from my offers to go to university I found myself at Kingdom Faith Bible College instead, and it was here Jesus filled me with faith, passion and fire; so that today, I see the lost saved, the sick healed and the next generation finding their identity in Christ.

We have a motto that we teach the young people here in Scotland: ‘Be who you are called to be and the world will be set on fire!’ The Bible tells us that David served the purposes of God in his generation. When my time comes to stand before my King, I would like Him to say of me, ‘He raised up a generation who knew and walked with their God’.

‘…But the people who know their God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits’ (Dan. 11:32)

My prayer for Encounter 2016 is that this scripture will become the reality for all who take hold of it.

Olly Goldenberg leads Children Can with his wife Helen. Together they serve the church worldwide to help raise up the next generation and connect the generations of church together.

God’s call is for us to make disciples. Every member of the church is invited to be a part of God’s discipleship plan, regardless of their age. Before this call to service comes an invitation to encounter the living God for ourselves.

This year we will be inviting the children to encounter God for themselves and to go deeper with Him in the word, in worship and in the things of the Spirit. We require an outpouring of God’s Spirit. He promises to pour His Spirit out on all flesh, that includes the flesh of an unborn baby in the womb – just ask Elizabeth what it was like when John the Baptist encountered the Spirit of God in the womb (Luke 1:39-45).

There is no verse in the Bible that says that children will backslide as teenagers (I’ve looked, because this seems to be the expectation of many). Instead God’s desire is that there will be a generation who never bow the knee to the baals of our age. By his grace God is reserving such a generation.

We need a radical generation to rise up and help turn the tide in this nation, a generation who will not bow the knee to political correctness, but will seek biblical correctness that leads to radical love. We need a generation who know the times they live in, but also know the Spirit of God and are willing to follow his leading.

We are expecting and believing that God, by His grace, will work firstly in and then through the children at Encounter 2016 to affect this nation for His kingdom.
